Small Four-Wheel Guardrail Pile Driver Product Introduction
1. Product Overview
The small four-wheel guardrail pile driver is a self-propelled special piling machine dedicated to highway wave guardrail construction, mostly belonging to the DZL series with self-made four-wheel chassis. Driven by diesel engine and full hydraulic transmission, most models integrate three functions: pile driving, pile pulling and drilling. It can move short distances independently without trailer traction. It is specially applied to installation of guardrail posts on expressways, national highways and rural roads, removal of old piles and pre-drilling construction for hard soil layers, serving as standard equipment for road safety engineering.
2. Main Structural Composition
Travel Chassis: Self-made four-wheel frame, hydraulically driven 2WD or 4WD option, equipped with leaf spring shock absorption and air-break braking system, adapting to short-distance movement on pavement, dirt roads and road slopes.
Power System: Equipped with single-cylinder or four-cylinder diesel engines (Model 490/4102) with rated power ranging from 36kW to 58kW, featuring stable power output and moderate fuel consumption.
Hydraulic System: Dual hydraulic pump oil supply, working pressure 14–25MPa, equipped with high-quality domestic or imported valve groups, high pressure resistance, excellent heat dissipation, stable continuous operation without overheating.
Working Assembly (Gantry Frame Assembly)
Hydraulic impact hammer (75/85 type mainstream): High-frequency impact to drive round or square steel pipe posts into soil.
Pile pulling clamping cylinder: Clamp deformed old posts and pull them out hydraulically for recycling.
Rotary drilling power head: Matched with air compressor and drill pipe to pre-drill holes in hard soil, gravel and hardened subgrade to prevent post bending or cracking during piling.
Control System: Manual multi-way reversing valve, single-person operation, easy switching among piling, pulling and drilling functions; adjustable verticality for posts.
Counterweight & Protection: Body counterweight block, sunshade canopy, hydraulic pipeline protection cover, optional hydraulic outriggers for leveling during operation.
3. Three Core Functions
(1) Pile Driving (Standard Configuration)
Drive Φ114, Φ140 wave guardrail round steel posts directly into soil. It only takes 15–30 seconds for one single pile, with daily output of 300–400 piles. It works efficiently on soft clay and sandy soil for new guardrail construction.
(2) Pile Pulling (Standard Configuration)
Pull out damaged and deformed old posts during road reconstruction and guardrail maintenance, realizing steel recycling and replacing labor-intensive manual prying work.
(3) Drilling (Optional Configuration)
Matched with air compressor and spiral drill pipe, pre-drill holes for hard soil, gravel layer and cement hardened subgrade before piling, effectively avoiding post bending and fracture.
